9.5: expect to fail a bunch and be patient. You will be at minimum many hundred images in, probably thousands, before you feel you have this down. I’ve shot rangefinders for years and years and still sometimes feel like I’m improving at focusing.

Might have to add this to the list, haha. Thanks for reading ✌🏾

Funny I realized I numbered that at 9.5, we could make it .95 and I’ll have a lot more to add. 😂

Phenomenal guide and advice. Thank you!

Photographing a toddler using an M is my goal. Currently balancing between the M & Q343.

Thanks Omar. That toddler is gonna be your best practice, haha. Enjoy the journey.

I am so guilty of the lazy photographer in this section - Perfect Practice Makes Perfect. Great article. Wish this was around when I started.

This is excellent. I shall print and keep it in my bag - only just bought a M a month ago, so you can imagine just how helpful this is.

Congrats. Enjoy the journey!

That guide is super handy. I’ve been racking my focus from infinity to closer but I’m going to try your advice and start from minimum focus distance to infinity. I shoot my son and his friends (kids) a lot so everyone is always moving, which makes using a rangefinder difficult but oh so rewarding

Good luck!
